Want Better Female Orgasms? or Having Pain with Sex?

This post is written for women who are interested in ways to improve their sexual health.***  Painful sex and/or pelvic pain is common and sadly, it is frequently not addressed by healthcare professionals.  It is important to get a proper diagnosis and treatment for any condition you are having. Here is a national website for vaginal pain, aka vulvodynia.

Physical Therapists that specialize in rehabilitating the pelvic muscles/area  (Pelvic Physical Therapists) as well as the medical devices of the Eros and the Femani are different examples of things that can help, (see 2 links at the bottom of this post for more on the Eros and Femani).

Even if you aren’t having pain but you want to strengthen your vagina/improve your orgasms, a well-made product that I heard about is the “Evi” from Aneros which is used to strengthen pelvic floor muscles but also causes orgasms (I call that a win-win)

Product link here: http://www.aneros.com/evi.html

(Hear sex educator Ducky Doolittle speak about it at minute 10 here)

If you are having female sexual health problems another source of help can be specially formulated bio-identical hormone cream or else prescription Vagi-Fem suppositories to ease vaginal dryness and increase the plumpness and elasticity of vaginal tissue.  (Loss of estrogen such as after menopause can contribute to atrophy and dryness).  Medical professionals will often say that using KY Jelly or other lubricants will solve a woman’s “dryness,” but sometimes hormone creams/suppositories are needed beyond just “lubricant.”

You deserve pleasure and if your healthcare professional is not listening to you or knowledgeable, find one who is AASECT-certified by clicking here.  There are many medical conditions and solutions for vaginal pain, (see clinic here list of examples and educational information).  This post is intended as a starting place on the sexuality resources that are available for women.  Keep asking questions and seeking answers.

Femani– (also this website is EXCELLENT for female sexuality education and resources)
